More Submission Woes

So, on the plus side, I got a personalized rejection from an agent (a big step in the struggling writer world) for some YA narrative poems.  She even slipped in some nice comments about the concepts and form.

On the negative side, the agent also wrote:  "I also know how difficult it is to publish poetry in these days of publishers wanting BIG commercial books by CELEBS. The chance of a poetry book by an untested author getting the nod is between slim and none."

While I already knew all this to some extent, it still pains my writer's soul...which has already been taking a beating.
